Karla is a Filipino-Irish singer-songwriter born in tropical Darwin. She escaped the croc-festation to live a happy life in the river city of Brisbane. Her newly released debut EP is called 'Drowning Mermaid.'

The idea of 'Drowning Mermaid' first came to Karla in the form of melody; just a tune in her head she couldn't stop humming. A vague story surrounding the mystifying theme of water eventually created threads of lyrics and music; tying together the dangers of the deep with the beauty and gentleness of a raindrop.

 

She hopes others will listen to her songs in a thoughtful and mindful state.
